COVID-19 Update from Phoenix
24th March 2020
The world is continuing to face a growing public health crisis with the spread of the COVID-19 (coronavirus). The effects of the virus on our daily life continues to change rapidly with many of the things we have all taken for granted for many years now being restricted.
With the recent closure of many non-essential services in Australia, Phoenix continues to be contacted by our many loyal customers concerned about continuation of supply. At this stage we are business as usual and hope to be able to continue this way as long as possible to enable you all to assist families in their times of need.
Although at this stage we are thankful that there are no confirmed cases in our region, Phoenix has taken a number of steps to help reduce risks. These steps include:
· Cancellation of travel by all key personnel including sales staff
· Office staff working from home where possible
· Closure of office to all non-staff (such as sales reps from our suppliers)
· Production staff isolated into sections and working shifts to reduce contact
We will continue to monitor and follow the recommended advice given to us by the Federal Government. If the above changes we will again be in touch to advise what actions Phoenix will need to take moving forward.
Finally, our thoughts are with the many customers that have family or friends affected by the COVID-19 virus whether it be health reasons or the loss of jobs. We are all in this situation together and I hope that we can all continue to be safe during these difficult times.
