Over six hundred and thirty people attended the event held in The Grand Ballroom, Star City on Wednesday, 15th October. The CEO of Phoenix Foundry, Mr Ian Mitchell was seated with Premier Nathan Rees for the evening. In the Premier's final speech of the evening he made special note of the excellence of Phoenix Foundry's business and congratulated the company for winning this award the very first time they have ever been nominated.
This award is a testament to the Foundry's people. All have an extreme passion for and respect for their role in the process of producing a beautiful timeless piece of bronze. Each plaque is handled with care - even those small special plaque markers celebrating the life of a much-loved pet. Phoenix Foundry is now recognised as one of the finest producers of bronze cemetery and memorial plaques in the world. Congratulations to the Foundry and all its staff!
"There are a large number of awards programs across our state, but there is only one that recognises excellence on the international stage. Like many of our sporting heroes, exporters that receive the recognition of an export award take on the world and win. It’s great to recognise excellence, but even greater to recognise those who compete against the best the world has to offer."
